INTRODUCING OUR SUMMER DIGITAL CIVICS ACADEMY
Are you passionate about making a difference in digital wellness and becoming an advocate? Our new summer program is tailored just for teens to make local and global change.
What is Digital Civics Academy?
Our annual summer program, co-designed by youth, for youth. This 1-week immersive experience, paired with hands-on advocacy and organizational opportunities, equips the next generation of activists with the tools to influence policies shaping our digital future. Join a movement and community of young people changing the future of digital wellbeing as you master effective activism, storytelling, and leadership techniques vital for driving both global and local change.
Who is eligible to apply?
Camps are open to teens, aged 16-21, who are passionate changemakers energized about shaping the future world of technology!
When and where are the camps?
Equity is a core value at #HalfTheStory, so we offer both virtual and in-person experiences to ensure accessibility for all. Last summer, we had young people from over 40 cities participate! This year’s cohort will be held virtually, with optional in-person field trips in our key cities: NYC, SF, DC, and LA. Participants from other cities will be paired with a mentor in the field to ensure a hands-on experience.
Dates for Summer 2025: TBA
